This society wants to create within Europe an osteopathic movement for the benefit of scientific research within osteopathic medicine and for the benefit of osteopathic practice, with special emphasis on the mutual relationship between research and practice.

This PhD-thesis examines the extent to which the development of expertise in diagnostic palpation in osteopathic medicine is associated with changes in cognitive processing and proposes an original model of expertise in diagnostic palpation which has implications for osteopathic education.
