Kind of research: research on the philosophical aspect in osteopathic medicine.
Study-design: litterature review.
Questions asked: On the basis of “the profile of an osteopath”, learning outcomes of an osteopathic training and the ideal curriculum for that training have to be set. An inventory has to be made of all the curricula existing in America and in Europe, a typical curriculum has to be distilled, and the differences between the American and the European curricula have to be analysed. The type of curriculum, approximating most closely to the European learning outcomes has to be proposed.
