RULES AND REGULATIONS CORPP v.z.w.
Article 1: Members: Conditions of admission
Members of the non-profit organization CORPP are divided into two categories:
1. Effective members
In order to become an effective member of CORPP, candidates have to apply in writing to the board of directors. Candidates are expected to develop and support local branches and/or subcommittees of CORPP. He or she has to be well-informed about the organization’s objectives and observe them at any time. Candidates are mainly evaluated by the surplus values they can offer the organization.
Effective members are appointed at a general meeting.
2. Non-effective members
Non-effective members of the organization may take part in its activities. However, they do not vote in its board of directors or at the general meeting.
2.1 Non-effective sustaining members
Members who paid the annual membership fee and who are osteopaths DO, osteopaths in training or an organization that works for the benefit of osteopathy.
2.2 Non-effective registered members
Members who have registered themselves on our website, but who do not pay annual membership fees.
2.3 Non-effective supporting members
Anyone who feels sympathetic towards osteopathy and CORPP and who wishes to give our organization financial assistance.
Article 2: Members’ rights
1. Effective members
- Possibility to become chairman of the board or director of local branches or subcommittees.
- Effective members are exempt from annual membership fees.
- Possibility to take postgraduate courses or to participate in conferences while enjoying reduction fees at the expense of CORPP.
- Free access to the members’ part of the website.
- Access to the organization’s portal as an “editor”.
- Newsletter.
- Possibility to participate in research projects, organized by CORPP.
- Possibility to be invited to the organization’s promotional activities.
- Retrieving information from research projects (as a PDF-file) is free of charge, as long as it can be forwarded via e-mail. Members will be charged when this information has to be mailed on discs.
- The right to obtain the organization’s annual report.
2. Non-effective members
2.1 Non-effective sustaining members
- Possibility to take postgraduate courses or to participate in conferences while enjoying reduction fees at the expense of CORPP.
- Free access to the members’ part of the website.
- Newsletter.
- Possibility to participate in research projects, organized by CORPP.
- Possibility to be invited to the organization’s promotional activities.
- Retrieving information from research projects (as a PDF-file) is free of charge, as long as it can be forwarded via e-mail. Members will be charged when this information has to be mailed on discs.
- The right to obtain the organization’s annual report.
2.2 Non-effective registered members
- Possibility to take courses or to participate in conferences.
- Possibility to be invited to the organization’s promotional activities.
- Information from research projects is available at a reasonable remuneration.
- Newsletter.
2.3 Non- effective supporting members
- Possibility to be invited to take courses or to participate in conferences.
- Possibility to be invited to the organization’s promotional activities.
- Retrieving entire research projects (as a PDF-file) is free of charge, as long as they can be forwarded via e-mail. Members will be charged when this information has to be mailed on discs.
- Newsletter.
- The right to obtain the organization’s annual report.
Article 3: Penalties
Concerning effective members:
- Exclusion and/or suspension of effective members is implemented as specified in articles 11 and 21 of the organization’s statutes.
Concerning non-effective sustaining members:
- Non-payment of the membership fee automatically excludes non-effective sustaining members.
- Non-compliance of the organization’s statutes and/or its rules and regulations, any obstruction of the organization’s interests or any form of misconduct will be punished by a reproach, suspension or exclusion.
- These penalties are pronounced by the board after investigation, with a normal majority of votes for a reproach or suspension, and with a two-thirds majority for an exclusion.
- These penalties are pronounced after the member involved was heard before the board (supposing he or she wishes to be heard). Further appeal is possible before the general meeting.
- All penalties pronounced by the board must be justified.
Article 4: Contributions
- The board of directors proposes the amount of the annual fee and the general meeting takes a vote on it.
- The annual membership fee for non-effective sustaining members is €200,00 (€150,00 for students; students are osteopaths in training. Their training has to be acknowledged by a certified professional association).
- Non-effective supporting members are free to pay the amount they want.
- The membership fee has to be paid not later than January 20th of the year it is meant for. New members are officially registered after their first payment is received.
- Any new member’s payment during the last three months of the civil year will be considered as that member’s payment for the following year.
- Late payments are subject to statutory fares.
Article 5: Members’ benefits
CORPP may grant its members specific benefits, such as discounts at activities arranged by the organization. It will also keep its members informed about any such activities.
Article 6: Changing the rules and regulations
Any change in the rules and regulations, voted on and approved by the board and the general meeting, will be announced to all the organization’s members in the most efficient way.
